Remember that even good changes can make us feel depressed, because, as creatures of habit, we’re resistant to change. That doesn’t mean that it wasn’t the right choice.
i really can’t stand myself like i can’t stand looking in the mirror and knowing that that’s how people see me
For those of you dealing with self harm, ED behaviors, addictions, or any other self destructive behavior:
It’s completely normal to think your behavior needs to be more shocking for you to get help. (Thinking you need to cut deeper, purge more often, do drugs more often, etc)
But I’m here to tell you that you don’t need to be shocking to deserve help. Someone who almost hits a vein could be struggling emotionally just as much as someone who barely breaks the skin. Someone who purges at every meal could hate themselves and fear food just as much as someone who only purges when they binge.
The degree that you engage in behaviors doesn’t reflect your degree of suffering.
You deserve help, regardless of how “shocking” your behaviors are.
Louder for dem “adult” bitches in the back
